M&R Engineering is a local Engineering Consulting firm who specialize in Electrical Design, Mechanical (Fire, HVAC, Plumbing) Design, and Energy Modeling. We have designed a variety of buildings such as hospitals, schools, recreation center's, housing developments and more. Although we are a local firm based in Halifax, we have created professional relationships with each of the Atlantic Provinces.

We are looking to add to our firms excellence by hiring a Junior/Intermediate Electrical Engineering Technologist.
Junior/Intermediate Electrical Engineering Technologist with a Technical Degree/Diploma in Engineering Technology is required for this position. 0-5 years of experience in the design of Lighting, Power, Communications or Fire Alarm systems is an asset Experience in both AutoCAD and REVIT are required.
Key responsibilities are:
· Prepare contract drawings, specifications, schematics, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through to construction.
· Produce aspects of electrical design in software such as AutoCAD and REVIT.
· Assist with site surveys for development of design on drawings, review of installations, and record drawings.
· Effectively communicate with other team members in the department and project team.
· Familiarize and adhere to industry codes and standards.
Familiarity with the green building certifications such as LEED®, the WELL Building Standard and/or Passive House would be an asset.
The successful candidate will work in a flexible office environment, and join an established team of design professionals providing innovative solutions on challenging building design projects.

Salary: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
