As our company continues to change and grow, we are seeking a qualified individual to contribute to our on-going success in the role of Financial Systems Administrator. The role will be stationed at our corporate office in Truro, NS.
About the Position:
The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems within the Finance Group. The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Promoting and adhering to our safety and respectful workplace culture while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance with all provincial and federal rules and regulations;
- Collaborate with the IT and Finance departments as well as third parties to complete both daily responsibilities and project related work (procure to pay, maintenance software, credit card program);
- Support any financial or reporting system upgrades or enhancements including researching, analyzing, testing, training, documenting and implementing those systems;
- Support the implementation of system integrations between Sage 300 and other systems and maintain those integrations;
- Create user profiles and assign access rights;
- Coordinate, test, assess, and assist in the deployment of new functions and features;
- Serve as a department contact for system issues and questions;
- Troubleshoot systems issues as necessary and escalate items appropriately;
- Assist and support the Finance team with monthly close processes;
- Identify and provide new technologies and enhancements that streamline processes and promote process efficiencies;
- Develop and maintain user procedure documentation;
- Perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Accounting/Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 3-5 years of experience in a systems administrator or business role ideally with a finance focus;
- Strong computer skills, including the use of accounting and management systems, Microsoft Office;
- Experience working on the implementation of financial systems (implementing and maintaining a procure to pay system considered an asset);
- Solid organizational skills, pays attention to details, a strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and work on multiple projects in parallel;
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving both user and system related issues;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Experience using Sage 300 considered an asset;
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
