Responsibilities:

· Provide personal care to residents such as: bathing, dressing, aid in ambulation, etc.

· Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, assisting with meals, cleaning of the dining room after each meal, as well as the general tidying of resident rooms on a daily basis.

· Provide companionship to residents

· Other duties as required

Qualifications:

· Experience as a Personal Care Worker and the ability to perform the physical duties of a PCW

· Experience with Dementia care

· First Aid and CPR certificates

· Ability to relate to elderly persons, showing courtesy, compassion and understanding

· Shifts vary - must be flexible and reliable

· Strong communication and listening skills

· Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
