Job Description
The Business Insights Analyst is responsible for developing (and enhancing existing) reporting systems and metrics being tracked in the Philanthropy & Partnership teams as well as for internal prospecting. S/he will proactively utilize data analysis systems to represent data for the Philanthropy in meaningful ways. This will involve developing dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to drive insights at all stages of the Philanthropy sales cycle including Prospecting, Discovery, Cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. S/he will also be responsible for internal prospecting including mining World Vision's own internal database of supporters to identify and qualify prospects for the Philanthropy Engagement teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting & Analysis

• Together with Prospect & Pipeline Analysts and relevant Philanthropy Engagement Managers, establish and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to meet the tracking and insight needs of each of the individual Philanthropy Engagement teams and their key performance metrics.
• Proactively schedule, plan and build automated reporting requests from Philanthropy Engagement or Philanthropy Enablement teams e.g., analysis of new fundraising campaigns, internal moves management analysis.
• Support the Philanthropy team with data management and governance activities through investigating and requesting data corrections or cleansing, including reviewing audit reports, and executing routine audit reports and other data sanitization projects.
• Become proficient in all supporting technical systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Sisense, Power BISQL Server Data warehouse, Prospect & Research databases etc.) to understand their linkages and how to best consolidate and construct data visualizations for the Philanthropy team.

Prospect & Pipeline Development

• Identify new prospects by utilizing analytical modeling and data discovery tools.
• Develop technical solutions to automate and streamline efficiencies such as for manual prospect & research tasks.
• Develop reports to track moves management and pipeline activities between different teams that will enable reporting and analysis.
• Support new CRM developments for the Philanthropy team through liaising with Manager and CRM central team.
• Become well-versed in Philanthropy Business solutions within the industry and assist in building statistical models to apply best practices to World Vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar discipline.
• Minimum 4-5 years' marketing analytics or data research experience.
• Proven ability to think strategically and derive unique solutions to complex issues.
• A deep understanding of marketing strategy, trends, and their implications for a nonprofit organization, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Experience within the fundraising sector is preferred.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, advanced analytics with relevant tools, including and not limited to SQL Server and Power BI.
• Experience with Sisense and Snowflake a strong asset.
• Proficiency in data analysis functions in Excel including advanced pivot table creation.
• Proficiency querying databases and data modeling.
• Experience with data management and use of statistical software, ability to engage in meta-analysis, statistical analysis, big data, and predictive modeling.
• Good understanding and experience with data science, technologies, and techniques, including Machine Learning and A.I.
• A strong and collaborative team player.
• Demonstrated analytical, communication, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities while producing a high quality of work in a high-volume and results oriented environment.
